Head of form 6 Nigel Howells commented “We are very pleased with the results our students have achieved this year. They have been a very pleasant and hardworking group, who have set a new standard in the higher level grades”
An achievement that has left Meredydd James the acting headteacher very pleased “Rhymney Comprehensive continues to reach new peaks, whether at Advanced level, or GCSE level. The cohort of pupils who have just left their post 16 schooling have performed very well – and in the number of A and B grades they picked up they have set new standards for others to follow here at the school. There is now a culture of success at Rhymney Comprehensive which will not be bettered when benchmarked by any other comparative school in Wales.
I must take this opportunity to pay tribute to what we like to refer to here at Rhymney as the Rhymney Triangle. Although the pupils are the actual individuals who sit the exams I think all would recognize the importance of the other 2 sides of the Rhymney triangle – the staff and their own parents
To all I publicly thank them for their efforts – and look forward to the GCSE results next week.
